Hillary ‘LOVES’ the idea of appointing Obama to Supreme Court – End Of The World As We Know It!

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton said she “loves” the idea of appointing Barack Obama to the Supreme Court if she’s elected president.

At a campaign event in Iowa, Mrs. Clinton told the crowd the next president may have to appoint up to three Supreme Court justices.

When one attendee mentioned Mr. Obama as a contender, she absolutely lit up with excitement by the recommendation.

“Wow, what a great idea. No one has ever suggested that to me, I love that, wow,” Mrs. Clinton said. “He may have a few other things to do, but I tell you, that’s a great idea.

“I mean, he’s brilliant, he can set forth an argument and he was a law professor,” she added. “So he’s got all the credentials, but we would have to get a Democratic Senate to get him confirmed. Clinton doubled down on her desire to have Barack Obama on the Supreme Court arguing that it is a “fascinating idea.”

In an interview on CNN’s “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer, Clinton said it “it would be worth the effort” to nominate Obama to the Supreme Court because “he is a brilliant writer [and] he taught constitutional law.”

Asked if she had “given more thought” to nominating Obama to the Supreme Court, Clinton said, “Well, I have no idea that he’d ever be interested but it was a fascinating idea and if I’m so fortunate enough to be president and get the opportunity to get to fill a Supreme Court vacancy, which I hope I do, then I would certainly talk to him about it. It would be worth the effort. We know he is a brilliant writer, he taught constitutional law so I think it’s worth a try.”

Tell Senate Republicans: Do your job! Refuse Closet Lib Judge Garland – Phone #’s HERE!

Merrick2

On the very first day Senate Republicans are back home for spring recess, let’s make sure they hear the sound of their constituents, as we raise our voices together calling for the refusal of Supreme Court nominee Chief Judge Merrick Garland.

Judge Merrick Garland may well be the most moderate Supreme Court nominee anyone could expect from a Democratic president, but he’s also a justice who could create the first liberal majority on the high court in more than 40 years.

One vote can make an enormous difference on a court that frequently splits 5 to 4 on important social questions. If the late Justice Antonin Scalia, a staunch conservative, is replaced by a moderate-to-liberal Justice Garland, the court would tip to the left on several key issues, like abortion, affirmative action, the death penalty, gun control, campaign spending, immigration and environmental protection.

The pending battle over immigration is another major test of regulatory power. At issue is whether Obama has the authority to temporarily suspend deportation and to offer work permits to several million otherwise law-abiding immigrants who have been working and living illegally in this country. Obama’s lawyers say federal law and past Supreme Court decisions give executive officials leeway to decide who should be deported, while lawyers for Texas and 25 other Republican-led states disagree.

The Texas case will be argued in April before the eight justices. But looking forward, the ninth justice will be in a position to decide whether the next president has broad power, or a limited authority, when it comes to immigration.

Check out Garland’s obvious contempt for Donald Trump in this video:

From upholding a federal registry of law-abiding gun owners derived from the instant-background-check system created by the Brady Bill to siding with the District government by voting for a do-over in a Second Amendment decision that invalidated the D.C. handgun ban — exactly what the Supreme Court rightfully struck down in HellerGarland has proved, the NRA believes, he does not support the Second Amendment.

Back in 2007, Judge Garland voted to undo a D.C. Circuit court decision striking down one of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation” and voted “to uphold an illegal Clinton-era regulation that created an improvised gun registration requirement.” Obama will use his pick to pursue a gun control agenda.

The overwhelming majority of Americans support their right to own a firearm for self-defense. Therefore, the NRA strongly opposes the nomination of Garland to the Supreme Court. Nothing less than the future of our Second Amendment freedom is at stake.

On environmental law, Judge Garland has in a number of cases favored contested EPA regulations and actions when challenged by industry, and in other cases he has accepted challenges brought by environmental groups. That could be very important, with Obama’s Clean Power Plan in the balance.

Just four days before his death, Scalia joined a 5-4 order siding with coal-producing states and putting the Clean Power Plan rules on hold while a legal challenge plays out in the D.C. Circuit this year, and presumably in the Supreme Court next year.

There is power in numbers.

Power in raising our voices together.

Power that Senate Republicans can’t ignore, especially once their district phones start ringing!

Call and say:

Your duty is perfectly clear. The president has nominated another liberal schill to the SCOTUS. Now it’s time for Senate Republicans to do their job and block the hearing and deny Judge Garland.

It’s up to you to make your voice heard!
