The ACLU put out a flier critical of Kris Kobach, Praising Colyer, and Kobach LOVES it!

New mailers from the American Civil Liberties Union paint Kris Kobach’s record on education, transparency and LGBT discrimination in a negative light — and Kobach is loving it.

The Kansas secretary of state frequently says opposition from the ACLU is a sign he’s on the right track. At a fundraiser in Wichita on Tuesday night for his gubernatorial campaign, Kobach held up a mailer.

On one side, the flier says “Kobach wants to be governor but has violated our civil liberties.”

On the other side, Kobach’s positions on education, public records and anti-discrimination efforts are contrasted with Gov. Jeff Colyer, his primary rival in the Republican race for governor.

“It’s a pro-Colyer ad, anti-Kobach ad. In my entire life, I have never heard of the ACLU advertising on behalf of a Republican candidate for anything,” Kobach said.

ACLU spokesman Mark McCormick confirmed that the ACLU had sent out the flier, but he emphasized that the organization does not support candidates.

“We support civil liberties and civil rights and want voters to be well informed on these issues,” McCormick said in an email. “We have no permanent allies and no permanent enemies, only permanent interests in expanding and protecting civil liberties.”

The flier “sounds like a dirty trick” to help elect Kobach in the Republican primary, Colyer spokesman Kendall Marr said. He contends that will ensure Democrats and the ACLU have an “easy opponent like Kris Kobach” to defeat in the general election.

The flier accuses Kobach of wasting taxpayer funds on litigation to restrict voting rights, a likely reference to his defense of a Kansas law that requires voter registration applicants to provide proof of citizenship. A federal judge has found the law unconstitutional.

Kobach told the crowd at his fundraiser Tuesday that if elected he would issue an executive order soon after taking office requiring the confirmation of the legal immigration status for all state officials, new employees and contractors in Kansas.

Kris on illegal immigration:

The flier says Kobach didn’t support a bipartisan education package, didn’t back efforts to make government records more readily available and didn’t fight efforts to prevent discrimination against LGBT individuals. By contrast, the flier says, Colyer supported the education package and easing access to records.

Obviously the dirty, mud-slinging and lies are starting to get very heated from the opposition side. Take a break from it all and check out Kris and his family in the following video, you’ll be glad you did…

New VIDEO: National Winner Disqualified For Being Trump Supporter!

A Kansas makeup artist says she won a national contest sponsored by Kat Von D Beauty but was later disqualified because of an Instagram post supporting Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy.

Screenshots taken by Gypsy Freeman show she was declared the winner last month of an Instagram “Saint + Sinner Contest” sponsored by the makeup line, which was founded by tattoo artist and former reality show star Kat Von D.

Freeman’s entry was an Instagram image of an angelic figure beside a girl in an all-black outfit and thick mascara, the Wichita Eagle reported. The winner of the Saint + Sinner Contest – and a guest – was to be flown to Los Angeles to attend the launch party of a new makeup line from Kat Von D, perhaps best known for her role on “LA Ink.” The approximate value of the prize package, which included a $500 gift card to Sephora, was $2,100.

To enter, Freeman submitted an Instagram image of an angelic figure beside a girl in an all-black outfit and thick mascara.

When Freeman was announced as the winner, curious Instagrammers went to her page and found a pro-Trump post from Election Day last year.

Von D, who starred in the tattoo-themed TLC reality show “LA Ink,” later messaged Freeman on Instagram to say she had “drawn a personal line in the sand between myself and anyone who supports that man,” according to screenshots of the conversation.

“My launch party (and my brand) celebrates many things that Trump is against,” Von D added, according to the screenshots. “And I just need you to know that I personally have a hard time with inviting anyone who would support such an anti-feminist, anti-homosexual/LGBT, anti-immigrant, and anti-climate change fascist such as Trump.”

According to the screenshots, Freeman replied: “I won’t be upset with you if you can’t have us there for these reasons, and I wish you the best. We would love to be there, of course, but I sincerely do understand if you decide to replace us with someone who supports the candidate you support.”

The celebrity then replied, according to the screenshots provided: “It’s not about inviting people based on their political stance – it’s just extremely difficult (borderline impossible) for me to be friends with or associate with anyone who would support a man who goes against everything I stand for. I would feel the same way towards people who supported Hitler, or any other fascist.”

The Florida-based photographer who took the photos for Freeman’s entry, Jenn Bischof, was invited to – and attended – the launch party in her place, Freeman said.

A post on Bischof’s  Instagram account shows her at the party alongside Kat Von D.

jb insta

All evidence of the contest’s existence has since been deleted from the brand’s Instagram account and website, though the contest rules are available in a cached version of the site.

Freeman told The Eagle it’s “really unfortunate” that politics was brought into an art contest “where I never brought it into the art contest.”

“I didn’t erase (the Trump post) either,” she said. “Part of the great thing about this country is having freedom of speech.

Freeman – who does fashion editorial, styling and a variety of bridal work – said she has used Kat Von D Beauty products in her makeup kit for years, though she will likely stop doing so. She said she plans to contact Sephora, which sells the product line, about the incident as well.

“It’s definitely bigotry – it’s everything that they’re calling us, they’re doing,” she said. “It’s a huge case of hypocrisy.”

Multiple phone calls and messages left with Kendo Holdings, the parent company of Kat Von D Beauty, have not been returned.

Inexpensive Healthcare Without The Government or Insurance Companies Messing Things Up or Ripping You Off! Come Take The Red Pill…

Inexpensive healthcare is available if you look for it. Obamacare screwed me completely. Sky high premiums, co-pays, and deductibles, not to mention the many things that were not covered at all. I had to drop out before the financial hole got any deeper. Not a good place to be. Unfortunately, no one can be told what real problem is. You have to see it for yourself.

You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up with your Government Mandated Healthcare and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”

I took the Red Pill and found my new doctor, Vance Lassey, who is unbelievably inexpensive because he has his own storefront facility, and doesn’t take insurance. For a small monthly charge, according to your age group, virtually anything done in the office is covered. Whatever you need. Call for an appointment? Most times, you can get in today or tomorrow. No bum’s rush to get you gone either. Now you’re about to see how deep the rabbit hole really goes!

HDC duo

Has his own in-house super discount pharmacy. He is hooked up with a very fine medical/surgical hospital that works the same way, for things he can’t handle walk in. Same kind of arrangements with lab work, MRI, CAT scans, etc. Here is a clickable link to a fine example of one, Surgery Center of Oklahoma. Buckle your seatbelt, Dorothy because Kansas is going bye bye. The website has a feature where you can find out EXACTLY what your surgery will cost, and if you have had a procedure to check prices against, you will see that the difference is jaw dropping!

I get a shot every 2 weeks that was $26 with my old insurance, $87 with O-Care, and now with no insurance and using my local PDC doctor 10 minutes away from me, $17.85. One of my meds, done the same way, $18/$65/$4. Bloodwork, $85/$220/$3.75.

THOSE ARE NOT TYPOS!

Like I said, it’s done by eliminating the middlemen. Has his own private clinic and one receptionist/nurse, doesn’t use insurance companies, medical facility labs, all jacked with huge markups, gone. Remove the leeches from the system and everything changes.

The endless circle of insurance companies keep feeding the free market money the med industry asks for, and keeps new ideas and procedures coming, but it is also why everything so expensive and why our country best doctors and tools available. It’s the delivery system that is broken.

But the system is in place, and employs millions of people. The government has no right to intervene and destroy what works. What are all those people going to do to pay their bills and not be homeless? Let the matrix live as it is to keep things moving forward, and keep it available for the Blue Pill takers who prefer it that way. But this alternative Red Pill universe is for the rest of us. Nice, neat, and it will all evolve into the Red Zone gradually as competition drives the market down. Capitalism trumps Socialism every time.

Find a Direct Primary Care doctor, and put half the money you save in a health savings account. If you want to, get a catastrophic insurance policy for cheap, to cover the unlikely. Use it with Part-D. consider the many possibilities. I’m trying to free your mind.

There are many others like him everywhere. But I can only show you the door. You’re the one that has to walk through it.

Kris Kobach, The Right Answer For Kansas and We The People #TeamKobach

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach launched his campaign for Kansas governor on Thursday, decrying a culture of corruption in Topeka and vowing to crack down on illegal immigration in a speech with echoes of President Donald Trump.

“Voters are tired of the politician who talks like everything he says is carefully polished and has gone through three focus groups. It’s important for your elected officials to tell you what they really believe. Kansas needs leadership. Tuesday’s tax hike should never have happened. Today, I launched my campaign for governor. My goal is for Kansas to lead the nation in every way possible. Let’s make it happen. Let’s lead again.”

Kobach, the architect of controversial election and immigration laws, advised Trump on immigration policy throughout the 2016 election. He emphasized his connections to the president and promised to center his campaign on fighting “corruption, taxation and illegal immigration” during a speech at the Thompson Barn in Lenexa.

During an appearance on the Kansas City Star’s Facebook live show “Beer Hour” later that day, Kobach said that he had turned down positions at the White House and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to remain in Kansas.

Kobach, who is a figure of national controversy for his hardline stance on illegal immigration, calls Kansas the “sanctuary state of the Midwest” and says that the state spends hundreds of millions on public services for illegal immigrants. He lambasted Kansas lawmakers for raising taxes “on hard-working Kansans” by repealing Gov. Sam Brownback’s tax cuts Tuesday to fill the state’s budget hole and contended that the state could have saved dollars by restricting immigration.

“Why don’t they tackle the problem of illegal immigration in the state of Kansas and see if we could save some money there?” he said at his kickoff event.

Kobach cited figures from the Federation for American Immigration Reform, a group considered an extremist group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, in support of this claim. He also pointed to a 2004 law that allows people who entered the country illegally to pay in-state tuition at Kansas universities if they’ve lived in the state for at least three years and have graduated from a Kansas high school.

“We are also the only state in the five-state area that rewards illegal immigration by giving in-state tuition to illegal aliens when our own students are barely able to afford college. I don’t know what I’m going to do when these five get old enough to go to college,” Kobach said, gesturing to his five daughters.

Image result for kris kobach daughters

“I mean, think about it. The price of college is going up and up and up,” Kobach said. “The Board of Regents and the universities tell us, oh, they have to keep on increasing tuition, they have to keep on taking more from the taxpayer in legislative spending. But they give away hundreds of millions of dollars to maintain what is a subsidy to illegal aliens. … It’s unfair. It’s unreasonable, and it will stop when I’m governor.”

Image result for kris kobach trump

Almost 700 illegal immigrants took advantage of the in-state tuition program in 2016, mostly for community college, according to data from the Kansas Board of Regents.

Kobach touted his role in crafting immigration laws around the country, including a 2010 Arizona law that critics say encouraged racial profiling by requiring law enforcement officers to determine a suspect’s immigration status if there is reasonable suspicion he or she is in the country illegally. Kobach has repeatedly rejected accusations of racial bias.

His candidacy was condemned by the Fair Immigration Reform Movement, a national group that advocates for immigrant rights. That’s GREAT endorsement!

“Kobach is an Architect of Hate and he’s relied on hate and fear to financially profit as he advanced and defended policies aimed at severely restricting immigration in the United States. He is simply not fit to be governor of Kansas — or hold any public office,” the group said in a statement. Typical left-wing panic, they see the end coming when Kris is elected.

Rep. John Carmichael, a Wichita Democrat who has been a vocal critic of Kobach, accused him of running “on a platform of hate.” Liberal snowflakes, what can I say?

Kobach, who appears regularly on cable news shows and previously hosted a weekly talk radio show, has developed an intensely loyal following both in Kansas and among conservatives nationally for his focus on immigration. Several attendees at Kobach’s campaign kickoff cited his focus on the issue as a major reason for their support.

“My daughter 10 years ago was killed by an illegal alien in a car crash near Basehor, Kansas. She paid the price for somebody being here illegally,” said Dennis Bixby, a Tonganoxie resident. “… He and Donald Trump are the only people talking about it. Otherwise, it wouldn’t even be on the radar.”

Tim Barnett, a Kansas City, Kan. resident, said he regularly goes hunting and fishing with Kobach. Barnett said that Kobach brings the same level of intensity to his leisure activity that he does to his politics.

Image result for kris kobach hunting

“He’s intense,” he said. “Anything he does, he’s on task and just marches. It’s all in. 100 percent all the time. He’s very charismatic and that’s what draws you to him. He’s all in. It’s pretty intoxicating.”

Kobach’s announcement comes less than a month after he was tapped by Trump to serve as vice chairman of a special commission to study voter fraud.

During his six-year tenure as secretary of state, Kobach became the only secretary of state in the nation with prosecutorial power in 2015 and has so far secured nine convictions for election crimes.

He crafted a law that requires Kansas voters to provide proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate or passport, to vote.

Kobach has repeatedly said the law ensures the integrity of Kansas elections, but opponents, including the American Civil Liberties Union, say that the law makes it harder for rightful voters to participate in elections. Dale Ho of the ACLU’s Voting Rights Project referred to Kobach as the “king of voter suppression” last month when his appointment to the commission was announced. The endorsements just keep on coming!

The law blocked thousands of illegal voters from participating in the state’s last gubernatorial election, but it could not be fully enforced in 2016 under orders of obstructionist judges at both the state and federal level. The rulings are still being fought.

Kobach, a former chairman of the Kansas Republican Party, called for term limits and restrictions on how quickly a former lawmaker can become a lobbyist as he spoke to a crowd that included several current and former lawmakers, including former Rep. Travis Couture-Lovelady, who left the Legislature to become a lobbyist for the National Rifle Association. Couture-Lovelady declined to comment and emphasized that the NRA has not yet endorsed a candidate for governor.

“Travis has done great work for the NRA…The NRA lobbies in every state. Now Travis could lobby in Missouri or some other state,” Kobach said. “But the point is you don’t want to have legislators profiting from the relationships they have with the other legislators.”

On the 2nd Amendment subject, Kobach has a 93% NRA rating, one of the highest in the nation for political candidates.

As Secretary of State Kris Kobach takes more than academic interest in the U.S. District Court trial of two men who placed faith in Kansas lawmakers depicting a 2013 law as a shield from federal prosecution for anyone owning firearms made, sold and kept within Kansas.

Kobach, a former law professor who co-authored the Second Amendment Protection Act, said the case built by U.S. Department of Justice attorneys against Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler was on shaky ground.

“This is a perfect example of a prosecution that should never occur,” Kobach said. “These are individuals who are law-abiding gun owners. Why would the Justice Department be going after somebody like this?”

The statute was developed by Kobach and was embraced by 80 percent of the Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Sam Brownback

Kobach is the third Republican candidate to enter the 2018 race. Wichita oil magnate Wink Hartman, a Republican mega-donor, and former state Rep. Ed O’Malley, a moderate who now runs the Kansas Leadership Center, launched campaigns earlier in the year.

“The Border Has Come to Kansas” by Sheriff Tim Morse, Not Your Usual Democrat! Must Read and Share!

Not your usual Democrat, Sheriff Tim Morse has a perspective on illegal immigrants that is highly unusual for a man affiliated with that party. I have known him for some years and can vouch that he means what he says. He’s also very driven and dedicated to clearing out the practicing felons and drug connected traffic that seems to come through this area of the midwest on it’s way to the mainstream users.

Rarely a week goes by without seeing headlines such as these:

Two Topeka residents arrested in Jackson County after vehicle chase …

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office investigate Holton drug distribution …

Drug suspect turns himself in to Jackson County Sheriff

Please read this, think about it, share it with your friends, share it with YOUR Sheriff and local law enforcement agencies!  – Les Roediger – The Roediger Report
Posted March 17, 2017 05:59 pm, by Tim Morse, Jackson County, Kansas Sheriff

Sheriff Tim Morse: The border has come to Kansas…

“Growing up in Kansas, right smack dab in the middle of America’s heartland, it felt like the southern border and the many problems associated with it, like illegal immigration, drugs and threats of terrorism − were far away. But because of decades of lax immigration enforcement policies and public officials of both parties who turned a blind eye to illegal immigration, every state in the country has now become a border state. And that includes Kansas.

Today, there are a million or more criminal aliens walking the streets of America. These aren’t just people who entered our nation illegally, but they also committed crimes, many of them violent, against their U.S. citizen or immigrant neighbors. Heroin and methamphetamine continue to pour into the country over the southern border, poisoning the minds of our youths and leading some to an early grave.

As the new administration in Washington vows to crack down on illegal immigration and regain control of the border by building a border wall, it must also focus like a laser beam on putting the nation’s 300 or more dangerous sanctuary cities out of the business of protecting criminal aliens.

Sanctuary cities are those towns, counties or communities that adopt policies, ordinances, resolutions, executive actions or any initiatives that prohibit local officials from inquiring, acting on or reporting an individual’s immigration status – even when there is reasonable suspicion that an individual is in the country illegally.

Many of these sanctuary jurisdictions go so far as to refuse to honor Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers – requests to hold aliens for 48 hours who have committed crimes and should be deported – and instead release those criminals back onto the streets. Between January 1, 2014 and September 30, 2014, sanctuary jurisdictions released 9,295 aliens that ICE had sought to remove. Shockingly, 2,320 of the offenders were re-arrested within that 10 month period.

The very presence of sanctuary laws and practices throughout the U.S. actually serves as a magnet for future illegal immigration, since once illegal immigrants enter a sanctuary jurisdiction, they’re home free. There are an estimated 70,000 illegal immigrants in Kansas alone, costing the state nearly $442 million annually. Stunningly, illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the federal, state and local level. The bulk of the costs – some $84 billion – are absorbed by state and local governments.

One of the first lessons learned from 9/11 was that state and local law enforcement and federal law enforcement need to work in tandem with federal immigration officials to form a web of protection for the American public. Surprisingly, two of the 9/11 hijackers with immigration violations had come into direct contact with state and local law enforcement officials just days before the attacks.

Had there been better and more consistent cooperation between federal and local law enforcement when those encounters occurred, we might have prevented the attacks altogether. With a limited number of federal immigration enforcement officials across the country, state and local law enforcement officers are boots on the ground, and should able to serve as force multipliers to assist ICE in targeted immigration enforcement efforts.

I’d also urge the Trump administration to push for federal legislation that shields local police and sheriff’s departments from being sued for assisting in immigration enforcement. I know many sheriffs who’d gladly pitch in if it wasn’t for the fear of watching their communities bear the cost of a lawsuit.

For those who argue we should continue to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration, I’d ask them to think again. We’re seeing increased victimization, especially among illegal immigrant women, some of whom are purchased and then smuggled into the country to live their lives in forced prostitution rings. Local law enforcement is not doing them any favors by ignoring this problem.

The best analogy for border control is the notion of people locking their doors at night. We don’t lock our doors because we lack compassion for the homeless or the poor, we lock our doors because we want to ensure the safety of our families. The same concept applies to our borders. The federal government has the duty to control admissions into the U.S., ensuring only those who will positively contribute to our nation are allowed to enter. Otherwise, we’re setting ourselves up for mayhem.”

NASA Investigated Kansas Skies at Night to Study Strange Phenomenon

NASA joined a multi-agency field campaign studying summer storm systems in the U.S. Great Plains to find out why they often form after the sun goes down instead of during the heat of the day.

The Plains Elevated Convection at Night, or PECAN, project took place from June 1 and continued through July 15. Participants from eight research laboratories and 14 universities collected storm data to find out how and why they form.

“We’re hoping to collect measurements that will be used to characterize the atmosphere ahead of these storms,” said Richard Ferrare, senior research scientist in the Atmospheric Sciences Division at NASA’s Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia. “If we can map the water vapor that goes into these storms, we’ll be able to improve computer models that represent these conditions and better predict the storms.”

The NASA DC-8 and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) P-3 Orion research aircraft supporting the PECAN mission was temporarily based at the Salina Regional Airport.

Unlike other parts of the United States, summer thunderstorms across the Great Plains are most common after sunset. Much of the rain comes from medium-size weather systems and resulting thunderstorms known as mesoscale convective systems. These nighttime storms can produce heavy rainfall that contributes a significant portion of the yearly precipitation in the region.

Scientists understand that thunderstorms that form during the day result from a vertical “convective” circulation driven by rising warm air from the heated Earth’s surface and falling air cooled at higher altitudes in the atmosphere. Less well understood are the mechanisms that cause thunderstorms after the sun has gone down and the land surface has cooled.

The DC-8 carries atmospheric science instruments and investigators from Langley; NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California; and several universities and research labs. NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, provided a ground-based Doppler radar system.

PECAN is funded by the National Science Foundation with additional support from NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, and the Department of Energy.

In addition to the NASA and NOAA aircraft, researchers will receive data from a University of Wyoming King Air plane, ground-based instruments, weather balloons and mobile radars. Storm information will continue to be gathered from multiple agency ground and air instruments across northern Oklahoma, central Kansas, and south-central Nebraska through July.

The DC-8 is based at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Facility in Palmdale, California, and supports NASA’s Airborne Science Program under the Science Mission Directorate. The extended range, prolonged flight-duration capability, large payload capacity, and laboratory environment of the DC-8 make it one of the premier aircraft available for NASA Earth science investigations.

Check out the pilot’s only visual references during one of these flights:

NASA researchers collect and study data from space, air, land and sea to tackle challenges facing the world today, including improved environmental prediction and natural hazard and climate change preparedness. NASA develops new ways to observe and study Earth’s interconnected natural systems with long-term data records. The agency freely shares this unique knowledge and works with institutions around the world to gain new insights into how our planet is changing.

Results should be analyzed and released by early 2016.
