Seventh Graders in Texas Taught That God is a Myth, No Other Options

Students and parents in Katy, Texas are upset after major test required students to renounce their faith in God to pass. religion has always been contentious between conservatives and liberals and for a very good reason. Liberals want to believe their is no hell because their support for abortions and libertine lifestyles would guaranty them a ringside seat at Satan’s homestead. On the other hand, conservatives are desperate to get into Heaven to assure that they will not have to put up with a single liberal for eternity. That clash came to a head at the Katy school.

The test the question was included in makes up 40% of the student’s grade. Jordan Wooley, a straight “A” student, refused to renounce God and even appeared before the school board and made her case for maintaining her belief in God.

“We were asked to take a poll to say whether God was fact, opinion or a myth, and she (the teacher) told anyone who said God was a fact or an opinion that they were wrong.”

“Another child had asked the teacher if we could try to put what we believe on the paper, and she said you can if you want to get it wrong.”

Superintendent Alton Frailey was supportive of Jordan and the other students at the school. It appears the question was written by the teacher herself since no other English class had the question about God on their finals. Fraily told Jordan:

“I’m truly sorry that you feel that your faith was questioned.”

“What’s going on is that the principal was made aware of this today and is going to have a chance to work on that as per district policies and procedures. We definitely will look into that. Thank you very much. It was very brave of you. Thank you, honey. Good job.”

The school district is defending the teacher and telling critics not to disparage her because they don’t know her or her Christian faith.

“The school district is defending the teacher and telling critics not to disparage her because they don’t know her or her Christian faith.” WHAT? If she is asking a question like that. she doesn’t sound like she has any faith.
